Just as a tree cannot grow without roots, a person cannot exist without traditions. This kaleidoscopic film weaves together the unique customs of Dagestan's peoples, who lovingly preserve their ancestors' cultural and spiritual heritage while passing it on to new generations.
Graduated from the directing department of St. Petersburg State Institute of Film and Television (workshop of B.Yu. Volkovich). Over the years, he has served as CEO of Deboshir Film Studio, president of the St. Petersburg Independent Cinema Foundation, director and producer at DS Film Center, director for 24DOK Channel, and worked with Eccentrics Production Center. Member of the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio, the Russian Guild of Film Directors, and the Guild of Non-Fiction Film and Television.
