A documentary chronicle filmed over the course of twenty-one years, In the Sea of Strange Thoughts explores the life and ideas of Kim Uchang, one of Korea's foremost philosophers, often described as a "reclusive thinker". The film follows his unique and solitary path, portraying a man who has devoted his life to the pursuit of truth.

Jeongdan Choi

Born in South Korea in 1967. She first met Kim Uchang as his student and began filming the documentary about him in 2004.

In 2014, she founded the production company Siwol Pictures.
