The Petruk family, with their many children, lives on a group of islands in the middle of a lake in the Urals. This is both their home and their livelihood. But the children are growing up, and life in the forest is no longer enough for their eldest daughter, Sonya. She wants to study in the city.
This summer, both Sonya and her parents will have to learn to let go and grow.
This screening will be held alongside the film The Grain Farmer. Age rating: 12+

Studied at the Faculty of Economics at Ural Federal University. She later studied cinematography, directing, and film editing at courses offered by Sverdlovsk Film Studio and worked as an assistant on film productions. Her films have participated in and received awards at documentary film festivals.
