Raised from childhood within the ideology of the Taliban, which has shaped his entire life, 23-year-old Samim is torn between the promise of martyrdom and the everyday life of a husband and farmer.
His fourteen-year-old brother Rafi idolizes Samim and shares the Taliban's ideals. For the two brothers, there has never been any other vision of the world.

Filmmaker, member of the European Film Academy. He graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam with a degree in Fine Arts and later earned an MA in Film Directing and the Aesthetics of Film Language from the London Film School.
His feature-length debut, Kabul, City in the Wind (2018), received the Special Jury Award in the First Appearance Competition at IDFA and the Next:Wave Award at CPH:DOX.
