32 Meters follows Halime and her friend Gönül as they organize a women's shooting competition in a small patriarchal village, quietly challenging long-established gender norms.

With warmth and subtle humor, the film captures moments of resistance, mutual support, and change as women begin to reclaim a space long regarded as exclusively male. Through everyday conversations and quiet acts of defiance, the film becomes an inspiring portrait of courage, solidarity, and the gradual rethinking of power and gender roles.

Morteza Atabaki

Iranian photographer and documentary filmmaker based in Istanbul. In 2011, he collaborated with Abbas Kiarostami on photography and exhibition projects and attended his masterclasses.

After moving to Turkey in 2013, Atabaki expanded his work into cinematography and documentary films about the filmmaking process. Among his notable works is a six-hour documentary on the making of "The Wild Pear Tree" by Nuri Bilge Ceylan.
